The final research project will be based on Junipero Serra and his involvement in the missionary project in California. I would like to discuss the purpose of the mission, where it was originated, and the total result in the very end. The most important subjects within this mission that will be covered is the environment and location prior to the arrival of the Spaniards. There will also be discussion of the geographical impacts the Spaniards caused towards the people and environment. The research project will present the reason for the Spaniard migration to California and will not be limited to the Racism between the cultural and religious clashes.
There will be very limited discussion in the difference of belief systems between the Native Americans and the Spaniards.
There will be several perspectives covered such as the resource competition in which the Native Americans were forced to produce resources only for the benefit of the Spaniards. Prior to the arrival of the Spaniards the Native Americans held a strong connection between themselves and the environment. The paper will also discuss the changes in interaction and the events followed by it. The Spaniards migrated to California with the main purpose of urbanization in which was attempted through force. I will discuss the experiences of the Spaniards as well as the experiences the Native Americans tolerated. There will be factual evidence of population decline as well as the changes in land ownage.
My final research project will consist of the Spaniard and Native American experience when The Mission was set to place. There were several changes in the people, environment, cultures, religions, morals, standards, and etc.
