Pretty awesome discussion last night about critical thinking.
The conversation was right and engaging and provocative. Our very own James M introduced some ideas about how the privileged have an obligation to assist those who are not in the majority. To facilitate, to be in service to, to assist, to help…not exactly sure the words, but the idea is that the majority and those with privilege need to ‘be there’ for those who are in the minority.
I know this veers away from critical thinking, but I believe it is right in line with our course and it is extremely powerful to voice what we feel, think, believe, hope, or otherwise.

Be Considerate (and this goes with kindness and using appropriate language)
I’ve always found that we have 2 – ears and one mouth for a reason. So see what you can do to listen. We have many voices in this room. Let’s allow everyone who cares to be heard, to be heard.
