Objective:
To create a job description for the position of director for a child care and education center and to evaluate your job description.

Scenario:
You are the director working for a company that has multiple child care and education centers. The director at another center has recently left her position. During her exit interview, she said that she did not realize how much was going to be asked of her as a director, and she wished she had known what she was getting into before taking the job. The board of directors has asked you to help write a job description for her position, focusing on two of the most important director responsibilities, program maintenance and financial management as well as the joys of being a director. As a director well versed in this particular responsibility, you are asked to tackle this part of the posting.
Format:

Use a title page or header that includes your name, date, course and assignment title.
When completing the weekly scenario, you must be sure to include both a focus assignment and a self-reflection. These must be clearly labeled using headings. Without the proper labels, I must assume that this step was not completed, and partial credit will be lost.

Self Reflection

A self-reflection is a thorough explanation of your focus assignment. The self-reflection must be written in paragraph format with a minimum of 10 sentences.
One aspect of the self-reflection is to learn the skill of using evidence based practices in your work as an early childhood educator. For the purpose of the research assignment, you will do this by using research to justify your explanation of the focus assignment in the self-reflection.
You must include a minimum of2 in-text citationsin your self-reflection.At least one of those must come from the assigned chapter.This to ensure that you are making connections with the chapter being read, which is thetheory,and thepracticalapplication,which is the focus assignment. You must be specific with your citations. Include a reference to the page or section of the chapter you are using to support your justification.
You must also include the full reference at the bottom of the assignment or on a sperate work cited page.

Write a three sentence paragraph summarizing the program maintenance-related duties of a director and a three sentence paragraph summarizing finance system-related duties. In a final three sentence paragraph, help the prospective applicant understand some of the potential joys of being a director.
