The ability for companies to raise capital via the capital markets is essential to their growth prospects and ability to compete and execute on their strategies. Even when public companies are not in the market raising capital they are consistently in front of investors at annual meetings, investor conferences and earnings calls. The ability to articulately present the value proposition of both the company’s business model and investment prospects is incumbent on the C-suite of the management team (CEO, CFO, COO & Head of IR).
Each group will choose a publicly traded company for which the deliverable will include a 8 minute oral presentation (with an additional 2 minutes for Q&A) to be accompanied by Powerpoint slides (no more than 10 content slides) which will be submitted. The focus of the presentation should be to articulate the investment merits of the company to the audience and should include the following areas:

Brief background and overview of the company
Highlight the company’s business model and strategy (what product/service do they provide and how do they generate revenue)
Competitive landscape
Financial analysis including the ratios/metrics that are most relevant to the company (minimum of 3-years of historical data) and its industry
Use Bloomberg’s FA (financial analysis) function to highlight important financial performance trends. Take a screen shot and use it on a slide annotating the important trends.
Current trading multiples and dividend yield (if applicable)
Stock price performance chart(s) (both on an absolute and relative basis) using Bloomberg or some other source
Recent news that has impacted the stock price (include at least one recent article from Bloomberg or the Wall Street Journal) Presentation quality is important for this project.

Slides should flow, both in content and design, with crisp text and accompanying pictorial content (e.g., bar/line graphs, pie charts, website screenshots, logos, pictures, etc”¦). Visually appealing slides that draw the readers to the main point quickly enables them to focus on listening to the presenter rather than attempt to decipher what the slide is attempting to convey. Grading rubric for the project is as follows and will also be posted on Canvas.
