This team assignment is a collaborative report on the strategic use of social media by Widener’s Campus Safety. Think about today’s serious concerns for safety and security. As we all too well know, campuses are not immune. Security issues can arise internally or externally, but all types signal the need for students to take seriously their own safety.
In this project, we’ll consider the procedures already in place at Widener. We’ll then explore sources of information beyond our campus. Finally, we’ll strategize the use of specific forms of social media in reaching out to students. Although the team is responsible for the full report, each of you will be in charge of a report section on a particular form of social media.
