This poster is related to the topic Does mentorship (I) influence role transition and efficiency (O) in new nurse practitioner graduates entering the workforce (P) in the first year of practice (T)? (dont forget the underserved community. Along with the poster outline there needs to be a title, abstract that summarizes all sections of the research proposal and a reference page. For the proper format refer to the APA Manual (5th ed.) In the attached file has all the different parts that need to be included in the poster. Please also include charts/graphs/pictures as well.
Poster
Purpose
The purpose of this activity is to provide the students the opportunity to disseminate
research findings to promote utilization of high quality evidence in the delivery of health
care, as well as initiate change or improvement of health care outcomes through the
application of research and a scientific foundation. Additionally, the poster will serve as
a platform for leadership, and communication with potential stakeholders to foster
collaboration for the purpose of improving healthcare delivery. The poster will include
the background/ significance of the research problem, proposed study design/report of the
completed research, potential implications/ findings and conclusions with use of
tables/charts.
Directions
1. Combine sections of the research proposal activity, summarize and refine them,
ensuring structure, grammar, and spelling are correct.
2. Prepare an abstract that summarizes all sections of the research proposal. For the
proper format refer to the APA Manual (5th ed.)
3. Prepare a title page according to the APA guidelines.
4. Be prepared to share the analysis of your findings from the completed research
project, or proposed research and findings from similar studies that speak to the
implication/ needs for implementing the proposed project. The summary and analysis
of your findings should be placed on a poster board for presentation.
5. Identify potential stakeholders to invite to the poster session.
Grading
This activity is worth 20 points and must reflect the work completed in Activity B. The
poster must effectively display:
Research/Innovation/Outcomes improvement report which includes all components of a
research project (statement of the problem/purpose, review of the literature, description
of the design, description of the data collection methods and tool(s), description of the
sample and selection of the sample, or applicable patient populations, data management
and analysis plan, description of analysis, findings, conclusions and implications, with a
set of recommendations)
1. The information displayed is complete, accurate, scholarly, and presented with
clear relevance to healthcare delivery – 10 points.
2. The abstract included all aspects of the grading instructions and followed APA
guidelines – 2 points.
3. Tables, diagrams, other appendices etc. were understandable and according to
practices used in the health care research community for professional presentation
– 3 points.
4. The title page, abstract and references follow APA guidelines and
parallel the poster content and Activity B submission – 5 points.
