Directions for Completion<br />
Step 1. Utilizing online resources, collect 10-15 strategies for developing phonemicawareness and phonics. Identify the purpose or use of each strategy, including how diversityissues are addressed. Carefully document the source in APA format.<br />
Step 2. Use course and online resources to develop 5-7 criteria for evaluating thestrategies. Develop a Likert scale to determine point value. Create a chart for each strategythat shows the criteria, Likert scale categories, and scores for each criteria (See example).Total the score for each strategy.<br />
Step 3. Rank the strategies according to the total point value. Select the top threestrategies, and write a brief summary of why the strategy was selected, supporting each witha direct quote as to the reason(s) it is effective for the stated purpose.<br />
Step 4. Imagine a parent-teacher conference. In a brief narrative, no more than 2-3paragraphs, explain to the parent how these phonemic awareness and phonics strategiesbuild early reading skills and how they can help at home.<br />
Step 5. Submit the narrative description of the top 3 strategies, completed charts for the top3 strategies, and parent conference insights along with references.</p>

<p>Part 1: Personal Survey of Assessment Literacy<br />
In Part 1 of this Analysis, you will analyze your personal assessment literacy.<br />
Directions:<br />
 Read and reflect on each criterion in the survey.<br />
 Rate your level of assessment literacy on each criterion from 1 to 5, with 1 being thelowest level of assessment literacy and 5 being the highest.<br />
 Average and graph the results of each section.<br />
Part 1: Analyzing the Survey Results<br />
1. Summarize and reflect on the results of the survey. Average and graph your scores for eachsection.<br />
2. What is your greatest area of strength in regard to assessment literacy? Provide an exampleof how you demonstrate this strength.<br />
3. What is your greatest limitation in regard to assessment literacy? Describe the limitation anda goal you might set for overcoming the limitation.<br />
Part 2: School Survey of Assessment Literacy<br />
In Part 2 of this Analysis, you will analyze the assessment literacy of a school, preferably yourown.<br />
Directions:<br />
 Read and reflect on each criterion in the survey.<br />
