I think you’re looking at some of the right aspects, and I basically agree with Boyd’s argument, but most of the quotes you’re using are things she’s conceding to make a bigger point. Her argument is not about the conflict, it’s about the avoiding of conflictthat is what she argues is leading to segregation. If you can explain that more clearly, I’m happy to give you credit.
