Individual Assignments (30%): Individual assignments are designed to develop your ability to (1) diagnose an organization or issue (2) lead, manage, or evaluate change. Please do not wait until the last minute to submit your assignments, as I do not accept late work.

Formatting Requirements ? 12 point Times New Roman

? Maximum word limit of 2000 words; please adhere to this limit. Since the assignment has a word limit, make each word count. Avoid empty sentences that add little to your analysis or recommendations. Well-discussed submissions will likely fall between 1800-2000 words.

Instructions Read “Oshawa Industries.” and answer the following questions by critically analyzing the situation, weaving course content into your answers, and developing convincing recommendations. Assume you are a management consultant whom Northwell has hired to review their situation and make recommendations.

? Part 1 (900-1100 words) As a consultant, convince Oshawa upper management of what you believe are the important issues that Oshawa should address. Divide part 1 into four sections as described below. The sections need not be equal in word length.

1. Important issues from concepts and material of Chapter 5 2. Important issues from concepts and material of Chapter 6 3. Important issues from concepts and material of Chapter 7 4. Important issues from concepts and material of Chapter 8

? Part 2 (900-1100 words) As a consultant, recommend what Oshawa should do for each important issue brought up in part 1. Recommend actions that should be taken in the next 6 months and within the next 3 years. Be convincing in your arguments. For part 2, divide your response into the following four sections. Again, the sections need not be equal in word length.

5. Recommendations pertaining to issues discussed in Part 1 of your paper from topics found in Chapter 5 6. Recommendations pertaining to issues discussed in Part 1 of your paper from topics found in Chapter 6 7. Hints for Completing the Assignment 2000 words is not a lot of space to write about issues and recommendations. What you will need to do is choose the most important/critical issues involved in the case. If you have room to spare, mention the other important issues, but do no sacrifice your ability to complete the task at hand. Also, choose your words carefully. Avoid repetition unless necessary for clarity. Pick one issue per chapter, and don’t forget that you need both short- and long-term recommendations for each issue.
