The article by Pant, Burgan, Battistani, Cibotto, and Guemara who are all faculty members at the Medical school at the University of Geneva, Switzerland was formulated to create an overview of the significant impact of the healthcare coverage on the United States healthcare system. The article will help the world identify the importance of a healthcare coverage system by comparing the US healthcare system to the Switzerland healthcare system. The authors established that there is significant importance of having healthcare coverage within the healthcare system mainly because it increases the availability of affordable healthcare among its citizens. I believe that the provision enables people to remain healthy by being able to access healthcare anytime they fall sick but reduces the quality of healthcare provided since the physicians have become overwhelmed by an influx in the number of newly insured patients seeking healthcare.
Skinner, J., & Chandra, A. (2016). The Past and Future of the Affordable Care Act. JAMA, 316(5). doi:10.1001/jama.2016.1015
The article by Skinner and Chandra, who both hold a Ph.D. in Economics and Health Policy and Clinical Practice from well-recognized universities critically look at the Affordable Care Act and analyze the accomplishments and shortcomings of the Act from a scholarly point of view. The audience seems to be the ones who are against the Act since by evaluating the positive attributes and the negative attributes of the Act, one can draw a line in what side to support. The article will be critical in providing a well-evaluated analysis of the various aspects of the policy thus shedding some light on both the merits and demerits of the Act. The authors conclude that as much as the Act has some negative attributes, it was quite essential in increasing the level of healthcare the country was providing to its citizens. Based on the analysis and evidence provided in the article, I believe that the positive attributes of the policy outweigh the negative attributes hence the Act was quite essential. It is also worth noting that a healthy nation is a wealthy nation hence the reason behind the viable GDP of the country.
Rambur, B. A. (2017). Whats at Stake in U.S. Health Reform: A Guide to the Affordable Care Act and Value-Based Care. Policy, Politics, & Nursing Practice, 18(2), 61-71. doi:10.1177/1527154417720935
This article seeks to identify the effect of the ACA on the status quo of the United States by analyzing some of the attributes of the Act such as the increased healthcare spending and how they increased the working force within the US. This will provide answers to the investigation into how the Act changed the status quo of the country. This article can be labeled as quiet a reliable article since the authors are well qualified to research and discuss the topic since they are graduates in related fields for example Ph.D. in economics by Skinner. The authors draw a conclusion that the increase in governmental spending on healthcare has significantly increased the number of the workforce within the country thus showcasing just one aspect of change the Act brought. Since healthcare provision has been previously been associated with positive economic growth, I can comfortably deduce that the level of changes that were brought about by better healthcare is significant enough to overshadow the negative attributes of the Act.
Hirsch, Joshua A., Thabele Leslie-Mazwi, Gregory N. Nicola, James Milburn, Claudia Kirsch, David A. Rosman, Chris Gilligan, and Laxmaiah Manchikanti. “Storm rising! The Obamacare exchanges will catalyze change: why physicians need to pay attention to the weather.” Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery 11.2 (2018): 101-106. Print.
The article aimed at providing an overview of the perceived changes that were expected on the implementation of the Act and especially in the medical field. This is mainly directed at the physician’s since the ACA act had a profound effect on how their unions are governed as well as their salaries and benefits since the volume of people seeking medical care were set to be at an increasing level. The authors are practicing physicians meaning that the topic directly touched on them and they had enough proof to back their opinions on the perceived changes. The authors concluded that the political drift will further be expanded based on differentiation on strategies put in place to ensure the success of the intervention. I believe that the issue should not be politicized and instead, the strategies should be streamlined to provide a sustainable solution to the healthcare system.

This article aims to provide an overview of how the government is slowly killing the policy and especially the Donald Trump administration which is slowly shifting the policy to advantage the employers instead of focusing on better healthcare provision. This is intended for the greater American community which id directly impacted by the interventions. The article will be important in establishing why there is an increase in the number of uninsured personels in the country which is against the initial goal of the Act. The authors are quite knowledgeable on Healthcare systems since they work with the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies which critically analyzes healthcare systems for gaps. The authors believe that the political interventions being implemented will not be sufficient enough in decreasing the increasing healthcare spending. I believe that the current changes that are being implemented in the healthcare systems will significantly increase the number of uninsured citizens which will result in fewer people accessing healthcare.

This article aims at expounding on the main objectives of ACA and also its implications on the healthcare system as well as policies. This is relevant in establishing a differentiation between the previous Medicare policy and the current act for its benefits. The author is a health care policy professor at George Washington University, Washington. The author believes that the policy provides an opportunity to reevaluate the main objective of the government concerning public health. In contrast, I believe that the policy has been politicized and does not currently focus on the public health policy with both sides attempting to showcase their financial muscle.

The article’s main aim was to showcase how the ACA came into being dating back to the presidential campaign and the role it played in displaying the underlying issues in the public healthcare system. This article reflects how Obama came up with the policies and how it impacted the healthcare system. The author is a Ph.D. holder in nursing from the University of Rhode Island. The author concluded that the healthcare policy forms one of the governmental aspects that is highly affected by both political and societal forces. I believe that as one of the factors that touch a wide range of people in society, Healthcare is quiet important and especially among politicians hence the reason why Obama formulated the policy.
