What impacts for modern communication do you see in the concepts presented by Ms. Shao? If you were teaching a communication class, what warnings would you give your students about doing research in the age of Deep Fakes?

Review the two persuasion lectures for this week. Then build a Forum post after considering the following question:
What balance do you see between the use of Pathos, Ethos, and Logos in Persuasive Speaking? Your professor recommends that you rely more heavily on Logos, but are there speeches where research might be overused and emotion under used? Have you heard a speech that relied too heavily on emotion? Have you heard a speech that lost its impact because it used too much research and statistical information? Specific examples are preferred in this discussion.

What effect has our reliance on smart phones had on our ability to truly listen and see the people around us? How do these effects (small or large) impact modern communicators? What would be your recommendations in dealing with or adjusting to these effects?
