Reflective Journal Guidelines

You are required to produce a portfolio of HRM literature reviews of 6 academic journal articles on varying aspects of HRM

You can choose any 6 readings to write journal entries per these guidelines.

2000 words divided to 6 article.

Objective Summary

Reflections on summary

A summary of the reading.

A few sentences that could be understood by someone who reads the reading.

· Your thoughts on the overall content of the reading

· How did it tie in with your experience, beliefs, and prior HR knowledge?

· Have your ideas been confirmed or changed?

Highlights, major points etc.

Reflections on highlights, major points etc.

4-6 thought provoking points or quotes from the reading. Numbered as you go.

· Please number your reflections that match to the highlights.

· Do you agree or disagree with these points?

· Were you annoyed? Impressed? Scared? Excited?

· Is there anything more you would like to know about the topic being discussed or described?

· Are you aware of any literature or research that conflicts with the author’s position?

· How did this change or confirm your understanding of the topic and its overall connection to HR?
