This assignment will allow you to have flexibility based on your expertise. You chose a policy issue in week 3. The flexibility is based on the leadership perspective you wish to take. Recognizing that you may work in one of many different areas of education, you will analyze a policy issue and discuss how it impacts leadership at one of the three levels of educational leadership: local, state, federal. You will also be asked to analyze the impact through a second level of your choice. For instance, if you are a teacher in a district, you might want to focus the assignment on how a policy impacts local school district leadership. You would then have to also address the policy issue (not as extensively as the local component they have chosen) either through the federal or state lens.
Using the concept you learned this week. Analyze the policy based on these 8 steps:

Define the problem
Assemble some evidence
Construct the alternatives
Select the criteria
Project the outcomes
Confront the trade-offs
Decide
Tell your story

Length: 10-12 pages not including reference pages
Resources: Support your paper with at least 3-5 scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, otherappropriate scholarly resources may be included.
Your assignment should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflectscholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
