I watched this presenter perform infront of a auditorium full of people and personally I credit his presentation to have been effective. I believe the reason for his presentation being effective was because of his abitliry to keep such a large audience engaged throughout the entire presentation, while stil providing an educational presentation and not a comedy show. I noticed the presenter broke his presentation into sections, in addition he would correlate them if the next topic was in relation to his current topic. After no other topics would relate he would begin a new “section” of the speech; He also provided titles fo his topics which he annouced when introducing said sections of the speech. The presenter gave off a very trustworthy impression, he seemed to put his trust in the audience and that made me, atleast, feel like I could trust him a bit more. I witnessed an outstanding amount of respect when the presenter would take questions or objections about his speech, he was understanding and resolved those comments/questions from the audience with ease. From this presenter in specific I learned that using humor in your speeches/presentations can effectivley build a momentary relationship with the audience, and leads the audience to trust you more, thus making your words be heard and be more effective. In addition I learned that respecting your audience is crucial, as well as being understanding and acknowleding of what they say, because you may be the one who’s presenting a speech, however, you aren’t the only one whos entitled to speak. I learned that organizing your speech not only makes it easier to understand, but it allows your audience to prepare and avoid confusion, aswell as making the information given to be easier to recall or documented.
