Quality control is an effective tool used to reduce cost by controlling factors that increase cost during operations. Locate a scholarly journal or a news article that discusses the application of a Best Practice; Total Quality Management (TQM), or Statistical Process Control (SPC), Six Sigma, or similar program to make a business decision intended to reduce cost or increase quality.  Analyze the article and, more specifically, address the following points:
How could company policies or operating procedures harmonize with the new program.
How was the effectiveness of the new program determined.
How were rewards or incentives used to promote the new program. 
Determine the probability the new program will succeed.
