Write at least 350 words and be sure to include direct reference to concepts and/or information from your reading in the pdfs and other material on the course Moodle site.
Also, be sure to include a Works Cited list at the end of the essay. At a minimum, this would be your bible text and any of the readings on the Moodle site you reference. You can cite those pdfs simply by the titles I have given you. See the “Citation and Works Cited” pdf.
1. Write an analysis of a short passage (no more than 10 verses) from this week’s reading of the Bible (Exodus, Deuteronomy, Joshua). Analyze the passage carefully by applying a concept or concepts from our pdf readings and my video this week on literary concepts.
2. Write an analysis of the passage you chose for your Discussion Forum post this week. You should begin by reviewing your post and any replies from me or your classmates. Revise and expand your original discussion by applying concepts from the week’s reading and information on the Moodle site. Pay particular attention to the effects created by specific words and phrases. Don’t only explain the meaning?what is being said? also explain the way the language works?why are these specific words used? what are their effects? You may find that you use some of your original discussion post, or you may end up writing a totally new analysis. Either way, your Critical Response should be carefully and thoughtfully written, and represent an honest reexamination of the passage.
